“The Message” author Eugene Peterson comes out as LGBT hereticPosted: July 15, 2017
That “evangelical” nut Eugene Peterson, who made millions from that “The Message” bible perversion, has come out of the closet in a recent interview as an unabashed pro-sodomy heretic:
[Eugene Peterson:] “I wouldn’t have said this 20 years ago, but now I know a lot of people who are gay and lesbian and they seem to have as good a spiritual life as I do. I think that kind of debate about lesbians and gays might be over. People who disapprove of it, they’ll probably just go to another church. So we’re in a transition and I think it’s a transition for the best, for the good. I don’t think it’s something that you can parade, but it’s not a right or wrong thing as far as I’m concerned.”
[Religious News Service:] “A follow up: If you were pastoring today and a gay couple in your church who were Christians of good faith asked you to perform their same-sex wedding ceremony, is that something you would do?”
[Eugene Peterson:] Yes.
Wow. Total apostacy. This demonized snake confesses that his spiritual life is equal to filthy homos and that he would actually “marry” two anus-men together!
But it gets worse!
After plainly articulating his true beliefs to Religious New Service on July 12th, he got then news that major evangelical bookseller Lifeway was pulling his books from their shelves, so the devious wolf rushed to make a contrived “retraction” to Christianity Today:
When put on the spot by this particular interviewer, I said yes in the moment. But on further reflection and prayer, I would like to retract that. That’s not something I would do out of respect to the congregation, the larger church body, and the historic biblical Christian view and teaching on marriage. That said, I would still love such a couple as their pastor. They’d be welcome at my table, along with everybody else.
Then this further clarification:
Recently a reporter asked me whether my personal opinions about homosexuality and same-sex marriage have changed over the years. I presume I was asked this question because of my former career as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA), which recently affirmed homosexuality and began allowing its clergy to perform same-sex weddings. Having retired from the pastorate more than 25 years ago, I acknowledged to the reporter that I “haven’t had a lot of experience with it.”
To clarify, I affirm a biblical view of marriage: one man to one woman. I affirm a biblical view of everything.
Ha! Sure Peterson, you phoney baloney liar. If you support the “biblical view” then you’d agree that LGBT stands for “Let God Burn Them” because it is the duty of the civil authorities to put them to death:
“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” Leviticus 20:13
“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” Romans 1:32
And if Peterson supported the “biblical view” he’d also agree that the religious leadership in the churches must purge out sodomites from their midst and have no fellowship with them:
“But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.” 1 Corinthians 5:13
Peterson tries to excuse himself by claiming the questions posed caught him off guard and were probably based upon what his liberal denomination had been doing, but that’s not true: Religious News Service then demonstrated that their questions were actually prompted by his own statements hinting at acceptance of sodomites.
They also pointed out that Peterson said nothing for the entire week before the interview had been posted. Yes, but of course! Peterson said nothing until his pocketbook got threatened! Once he got word that his gravy train would end that’s when he rushed to publish his mealy mouthed “retraction”.
How transparent! His “retraction” is bogus. This guy has now been openly exposed as total fraud. Anybody who remains deceived is dumber than dirt or equally compromised by apostasy.
Is anything less be expected from those who presumptuously rewrite the Bible with their own words? As the real Bible (AV 1611) says,
“Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” Proverbs 30:6
[By the way, it is interesting to see how the professionally crafted ‘Christian news‘ websites have become religious versions of the fake mainstream media. They pretend a sort of voice of authority on topics because of their timeliness and know-it-all reporting, but they are spiritual wastelands clogged with useless liberal chatter and political correctness. The people who fund and run them are always rather mysterious – seems probable that the true owners are secular media companies who hire writers from apostate mainline denominations as window dressing – and the tone and content in their articles is decidedly slanted against true Bible-believing Christianity.]
