Aisha’s father was Abu Bakr who has previously tried to kill Mohamet on at least one other occasion. After Aisha successfully poisoned Mohamed, her father Abu Bakr and Omar killed off the rival leadership to the Islam-cult during the “wars of apostasy”. The followers of Abu Bakr – the Bark sect – became dominate over the followers of Ali. This is the source of the Shia-Sunni split in Islam. The sunni say, “prophet M’hamhead, peace upon him,” but the shia add, “… and upon his true family” to emphasize their claim that the Sunni killed off Mohamed’s family and don’t follow the right leadership.
The Shia believe in an ordained leadership over their religion from Mahamet’s family; the Sunni reject them and think the moslem community as a whole can govern itself. Neither group thinks the other one contains true moslems.
